Frequently Asked Questions:

Here are some of the questions potential members ask us.

How does whocanisue.com work?
Our users review content relevant to their interests then answer a series of question to determine if they are qualified for a particular claim. After the last question, the user is presented with an ad page of five banner ads from the Network Members who bid the highest amount for that path, with geographic limitations, if selected by the Network Member.

How is whocanisue.com different from its competitors?
Present online legal marketing is divided between directory services and referral services. Whocanisue.com is neither of these. We are different in three main ways: (i) we are a legal information portal that provides our Network Members the ability to advertise directly to potential clients who have answered a series of questions to become "qualified" for a particular claim using our patent pending model; (ii) our service is focused on the user experience where the user controls the process, so they don't end up with unsolicited calls from attorneys they don't know and didn't choose; and (iii) our system operates in real-time, so our users can connect with a law firm and ask basic questions while they are online.

How are network members charged for advertising?
Network Members pay a Network Member Membership Fee and then are able to advertise their legal practice to our users who are their potential clients. Network Members establish the amount they want to pay for advertising on a particular path.

Are there any other charges?
Yes. You will be charged for premium services that you use or that users use to communicate with you. For example, you will be charged when a user starts an IM or instant telephone conversation with your firm or requests that the firm contact the user. These amounts are posted in the network member fees tab of the Network Member Admin Area.

Can I limit my ads to users from my area?
Yes. The whocanisue.com system allows you to geographically limit your ad spend for a particular path. For example, if you are bidding on advertisements for overtime pay claims and you want to limit the ads that you place to your state or your county, you may do so. Likewise, if your specialty is trucking accidents, you can advertise to users who have answered the trucking accident questions nationwide. The system actually allows you to have no geographic limitation, one or more states, or one or more counties within a state.

Can I have different banner ads for the different paths that I bid on?
Yes. You can load up to 10 different banner ads onto our system and then as you bid on each path, you get to choose which banner ad you want to display as your ad for that path. For example, if you have a practice that does personal injury and family law, you would likely have different banner ads for each practice. So you can create a warm family oriented banner ad for use in the family law paths and an injury related banner ad for use in the personal injury paths.

How much should I bid for a path?
The amount you bid is your decision. Obviously, if the path is for Uncontested Divorce, the Network Member can set one advertising price and if it is for a Child Custody Dispute, the Network Member can set a different price. Without presuming to know how you operate your law practice as a business, your effective client acquisition cost on our system is a product of your bidding price times the number of ads you place to convert to one new client. So, if you are bidding $1 and from your experience you know that you convert 1 out of every 20 ads into a client, then your effective client acquisition cost is $20.

Will whocanisue.com add content for my practice specialty?
Our system is designed to be dynamic, thus allowing us to quickly add content related to new claims. If you send a message or call our customer service specialists, we will work with you to create relevant content and appropriate path questions. For Hot Topics or breaking legal news, we can have new content live within hours.

What if I don't already have a banner ad?
Our system allows you to use banner ads that you already have or build them using our system. In addition, we have graphic designers who can build a custom banner ad for your firm if you want something other than one of our dozens of templated banner ads.

Can I pay to be the first ad on a path?
Yes, but you have to do it by bidding the highest amount for a particular path. Since our system operates in real time, another network member may bid a higher amount and your banner would then be the second of the five shown on the first page.

Does the whocanisue.com system limit the number of network members from my area?
No. Our system is open to any qualified attorney/firm.

Does the whocanisue.com system limit the number of advertisers for each path?
No. When a user answers the questions for a particular path, the Network Members who have placed bids on that path will be ordered from 1 to n (where n is the total number of bidders). The system displays the Network Member banner ads on pages of five ads, so if there are 10 bidding Network Members, the first five will be displayed and charged. The second five are not charged unless the user selects the "Next 5" button at the bottom of the page to display the second five ads.
